how do i get out of a scam from an internet purchase/trial thingy?

okay. so. i am 16 and recently got a checking account. i ordered this thing online called acai berry (along with another thing called colodetox) which, put together was supposed to make you lose a ton of weight. and then my mom found out and was all like "that stuff is all a scam don't buy things off the internet unless they are really relyable" and turns out.. she was right. she cancelled the berry thing but not the other thing by accident.. and my account got charged like 120 dollars anyways.. and we are not sure now to get ourselves out of this little mess!! HEELPP! i am losing the little amount of money i have in there, and they already started taking from my savings now...

Either have your bank stop allowing electronic drafts for your checking account or close the checking account and open a new one.

The scammers will not stop trying to take money out of your account.

Calling them, emailing them will not stop it. As long as they can take money from you, they will.

Personally, I'd close the checking account and open a new one.

    T.S.

No wonder this countries econonimic system is in the dumpster.

Banks are now giving checking accounts to 16 year old children? That scam has been around for years

Who then are so naive as to fall for the old Acai berry scam.LOL .

Take some responsbility for yourself...you got conned....grow-up....become an adult...and admit it!

Anyway else is just childish irresponsibility and giving dumb kids internet access access was another mistake.

    the technical gist:

from whatever computer they used to extract the money from your account has to have an ip address and the account that the money was deposited into has to have a policy holder/recipient.

the banks servers should be able to trace every single penny of your money. However, they won't becuase its not their job to do so.

Plus, the scammer were probably smart enough to use "dummy" information and "Fronts" to cover their tracks.

    the legal gist:

if the product promised or advertised with the condition that it adds or directly causes/results in weight loss under no particular conditions other than you consume it into your body and it didn't do any such thing. then you can(assuming you can find the individual(s)) sue them.

    the "real" gist:

there isn't a damn thing you can do, but learn from it.

You might try talking with your bank and contesting the charges that were made.
