No BH Contractions @ 35 weeks?

I am 35.1 weeks and I have only had slight period like cramps. They are not regular or anything just every now and then. Does that mean that I will not go into labor if I don't have them. Though I have realized that my back has been killing me so maybe I will have back labor. I don't know I just don't want her to be in there forever you know. I realize I still have 5 weeks but I know a lot of people start having them way sooner than this so I was just asking. Is it more likely that i am going to have back labor since that is where the majority of my pain is?

Thank you for all the helpful insight ladies!

What you describe sounds very similar to my experience with my daughter. I didn't feel any BH and I didn't feel regular contractions either until I was 4 cm dilated. But my back hurt quite a bit: I wasn't showing much, and baby pressed on my spine. The back pain got almost unbearable, until I started pushing, which moved baby a bit, which made things much easier.

It's completely normal. You are still probably having them you just can't feel them. My OB told me that you have a bunch that you can't feel. My sister didn't have any that she remembers feeling with her second pregnancy and she went into labor on her own and 2 hours later had the baby. So don't worry.

Bh prepares you for labour, but not having them will not mean that you wont go into labour, it just means you already have gd muscles in your stomach and dont need to be prepared for it. Be glad that you dont experience BH they are annoying and sometimes painful esp at night!
