Actually, the tensions between India and China has greatly been reduced in the recent 20 years becasue both countries have been paying attentions to their internal economic growth than getting into wars.
The tensions came from the fight over the right of the border territories and now the leaders of both countries prefer to be more tolerant to the issues.
I believe neither of the countries wants to get into a war, and hopefully, it NEVER will.
No, China doesnt need to appease anyone, you are damn wrong !

Sorry but you were lied to about the Indo-Chinese war in 1962. It was India with its forward policy of building military bases inside Chinese territory which led to the Chinese aggression against India and to India's defeat. Ever heard about the 'forward policy' of India against China? Get your facts right.
