Is there any mention of lowering the cost of medical school in any versions of the health care reform bill?

Or about building more hospitals?

Update:

If the government passes legislation that provides for more people receiving health care there will be an obvious need for more doctors and hospitals, unless the purpose of the bill is something else entirely...

No Democrats dont want to face the real costs of health care. Instead they demonize a small portion to gain power.

If they were really concerned about costs they would be doing more than beating up on the insurance companies.

Great Q...The idea that upon graduation from medical school the new doctor would work 2 years at a government clinic for base pay being matched with tuition repayment has not been suggested. But this is an idea that could lessen the issue of both access for uninsured and tuition debt reduction on a large scale. This plan though is politics as usual and likely to fail without a public option.

No, but actually, medical school costs will go up and not because of ObamaCare. Tuition for all colleges and universities will rise because Obama has recently taken over the student loan business.

Now, with Washington promising it will repay every and all student loans if the students cannot, there is nothing to stop the schools from jacking up tuition as high as possible to bring in more money.

As well, there is a widespread movement to have professors (who already get tenure, high salaries, extensive benefits and often free housing) join unions. If that happens, academic costs will go even higher.

But don't worry ... it will all be paid for by tax payers.

You have this bill confused with something else: it is a healthcare INSURANCE reform bill, not healthcare improvement or wellness bill but, scratch even deeper, and you will realize it is another government take-over of our institutions such as what occurred with finances, industry, and soon, energy (Cap & Tax), healthcare, and the internet (net neutrality) ala "share the wealth". If the whole purpose of the bill is to save those "20 million" (or whatever number it is this week), then why does it not cover all? Because it's immaterial to the real goal.

No, but I did here that you could get you law degree through three easy payments once this is passed.

This whole reform is a pass to tax the crap out of Americans and then it won't even come into effect until 2013. Why pay for something before getting it. I have always been taught that you pay for services completed, no service, no payment.

We are all screwed anyway so we should all learn to bend over.

Federal Health Bill Calls For Billions in Orwellian Psych Programs and Treatments

Information: As the entire country is aware, there is currently an effort in Congress to pass a massive “Health Care Reform” bill. In fact, Congressional leadership is doing everything in its power to pass this $1 trillion plus bill.

There are two versions of the bill — one in the House (H.R. 3200) and one in the Senate (there is no number for the Senate bill at this point, but it is titled the Affordable Health Choices Act).

Both bills forward massive increases in government funding of mental health programs that turn America into a full blown therapeutic state...

Do you worship Malcolm-X. Can you spell your name. How many 40oz. bottles can you drink on your porch in an hour. Does you caddy have custom wheels. Have you fathered more then 10-15 unknown children. Do you piss in the street when you are begging money while strung out on crack. How many guns do you carry in your trunk. No. The House health care bill has provisions to provide more scholarships for medical school.

The cost of medical school will go down automatically, because there will be fewer doctors and nurses with obamacare.

See their salary will decrease when the government is paying the bill.

Havent seen any "health care reform" bills - the "insurance restriction and mandates proposals" dont include anything about med school or more hospitals.
