Don't you socialist realize that socialism never has worked!?

This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US Department of Energy.

I then took a shower in the clean water provided by the municipal water utility.

After that, I turned on the TV to one of the FCC regulated channels to see what the National Weather Service of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration determined the weather was going to be like using satellites designed, built, and launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast of US Department of Agriculture inspected food and taking the drugs which have been determined as safe by the Food and Drug Administration.

At the appropriate time as regulated by the US Congress and kept accurate by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the US Naval Observatory, I get into my National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approved automobile and set out to work on the roads built by the local, state, and federal Departments of Transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the Environmental Protection Agency, using legal tender issued by the Federal Reserve Bank. On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via the US Postal Service and drop the kids off at the public school.

Then, after spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the workplace regulations imposed by the Department of Labor and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, I drive back to my house which has not burned down in my absence because of the state and local building codes and the fire marshal's inspection, and which has not been plundered of all its valuables thanks to the local police department.

I then log onto the Internet which was developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Administration and post on freerepublic and fox news forums about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the government can't do anything right.

Let me know if my facts are wrong, but please provide proof.

You forgot to send your kids to public school on a road paid by the taxpayer and monitored by the public force (police) using a driving license system managed by the state and go to the public library driving on the edge of a national park on your way back.

Oh and did you drop your garbage at the state or town managed transfer stations which ensures an efficient recycling?

Then you went too state school, afterwards you visited the library to get some books to study, but on the way home 3 republicans mugged you so you phoned the police...

3 examples of socialism in the US...

So lots of government control is good.. because it's there. Right. Obviously, if the government wasn't doing those things, you wouldn't have any of them. And it obviously, it must be better than anything else, cause that's what we have, right? Good thing. Of course you wouldn't have any electricity, water, TV, food, money, schooling, etc. etc., if it weren't for the government. Uh huh.

You know what I find funny. In other countries that have universal health care the politicians use propaganda in the opposite way that we use "Socialism" here. One guy will say "This guy...he wants to change our country, he wants to make our health care system like capitalistic America.". Then the opponent is like "wait no no, no I don't want that, I'm just saying that this change will enhance our current health care system".

    funny stuff.

Yes indeed. Cooperation and central planning never works, that's why all successful companies have no internal organization or planning but compete with each other for the best results

I think you have confused Government services with Socialism.

Just because the Government provides it does not make it Socialist.

Now the Government takeover of a private company is Socialist.

Sorry to have to point that out.
