Which house would you buy?...?

Which house would you prefer if you were looking?

A 1 bedroom with a family room upstairs, and an unfinished basement

Or a 2 bedroom with no family room upstairs, but a finished basement with a family room downstairs?

Both house are same size and overall condition.

All opinions are appreciated, thanks!

I would buy the 2 bedroom, but only after I was convinced that the basement family room was a quality installation, that is proper insulation, no moisture problems, ventilation, and adequate ceiling height.

i would want the two bedroom house..only because it has two bedrooms. I kind of would want the one bedroom house because of the unfurnished basement. I like to have an empty room at first and make it into anything i want.

Are you planning on living there for longer than 5 yrs? Is there room to "grow" ... can you add on if need be to accommodate your needs; say a family, or if you would need to get a room mate, or even a significant other? I would weigh out those options before making the commitment-that is if you are buying. If you will be renting, ask how long the contract is for before signing.Personally, Id go with the best bang for your buck. Quality over quantity!

The two bedroom one. But it depends on who is living there.
