  • Dakotas Golf Tour experiences?

I would really like to hear from anyone with first or second hand info regarding the Dakotas Golf Tour. I've read the Policies and Procedures page, but just wanted to hear an experienced opinion. Thanks.

  • Why do people like Nickleback?

They have got to be the most tired, worn out, fake, soul-selling "musicians" ever photographed. They have never produced one original song in their entire "library".

  • Do you even know where your target is?!?

I can understand why someone would choose to parachute drop in a portable bathroom, but for crying out loud if you are going to do so, first; KNOW YOUR TARGET, second; KNOW YOUR ENEMY, and third; KNOW YOUR WEAPONRY!

Do these people have any body-awareness at all? It reminds me of the old joke about finding your rear end with both hands! UUUGGGHHH!!!

  • Your going down Cory Pavin!!!?

Can you believe Jim Grey (he looks a little like an alien...) would freak out like that? Pushing a finger into another guys chest and then pushing his wife is a great way to get your scrawny butt whooped. He's just lucky he picked on Cory Pavin and not any other guy.

I bet Cory did say what Jim Grey reported, but felt that he said it "off the record". The news media can be so self absorbed about their "integrity" sometimes. I can't believe he didn't get fired for that. If I threatened someone at work, they'd gladly can me, why is Jim Grey so special?

  • Is my outdoor deck floor strong enough to support a new room on my house?

I live in MN, and I want to convert my outdoor deck into a sun room / family room as an addition off of the existing sliding glass kitchen door opening. Are the current floor joists for the deck going to be strong enough?

The floor sits about 30" off the ground, and is 15' x 10', but there is a doorway jutting into the space, removing about 32 sq ft from the total foot print, making a fat "L" shape. The longest joists running out from the original house frame are 2x6x10' and the shorter are 6', and are 16" on center. They are supported on their far side by two perpendicular 2x8x15' joists secured to three 4x4 studs (presumably buried 4 ft deep) which are 7 ft on center.

Will this frame work support three 8 ft walls and a 120 sq ft ceiling? Is it even close? Is something like this adaptable, or is a complete re-do?

Thanks for any input on the subject.

He's been in the running for a good number of them, is it his time? I believe it is.

  • Which house would you buy?...?

Which house would you prefer if you were looking?

A 1 bedroom with a family room upstairs, and an unfinished basement

Or a 2 bedroom with no family room upstairs, but a finished basement with a family room downstairs?

Both house are same size and overall condition.

    All opinions are appreciated, thanks!

  • How valuable would a fossil found in my backyard be?

I believe I have found fossilized bones in my back yard. They are embedded in a limestone-like shale rock. I'm thinking of contacting the local (Big 10) university near me in order to identify it.

If it were to be ancient history right there under my feet, would the university consider buying my artifacts? May they be interested in digging up my yard?

    Any knowlegable opinions appreciated.

  • How can I make (or get) Reeses peanut butter?

I don't mean the bland, corporate stuff they put into grocery stores a few years ago. It had the right label, but we all know that wasn't really Reeses PB! I want the real thing!

  • Slazenger golf balls?

Would it be possible for the Golf Channel to show that commercial again? I haven't seen it enough yet.

I would just like to thank Dick's Sporting Goods for buying Slazenger and for contributing so heavily to The Golf Channel, so I can see that wonderful spot again and again. Every time I watch it I get so confused. Am I buying Golf balls? Raw meat and eggs? Granola bars? More black clothes?

What a stroke of marketing genius!

  • How long until people start to recognize the difference between...?

...golf club "components" like Maltby, Golfworks, Golfsmith/Snake Eyes and knock-off look-alikes? The versatility components offer is a breath of fresh air compared to the mass produced one size fits a few major brands.

There are great products being made by small independent companies like Toski, Maltby, and FST shafts that people don't honestly look at because they get lotted in with products trying to rip someone off with an almost-club.

  • Can anyone suggest an iron set that has game improvement qualities...?

But, also has no, or at least very little offset? I tend to come down from the inside anyway, so offset faces just increase my usual draw, no help for me there. Any equipment opinions appreciated, thanks.
