Why do people like Nickleback?

people like them because they think they're good. its called opinion and taste, something thats different for everyone

I never really understood why Nickleback gets such a bad rap. They're just like any other rock/pop group out there, and they have a few nice tunes.

C'mon people, not ALL bands are going to be Megadeth. That's just unrealistic and stupid.

You're right, they're very dull and derivative. They are just really boring, I don't understand how they ever broke into success (but I could say the same about a lot of acts out there...). But I think the worst thing about them is the vocalist, he sounds very annoying and fake - it just sounds like a very put-on voice, like he's trying to sound interesting but failing.

Most people see them as a very generic alternative metal band. There's tons of other really good alt. metal bands like:

Three Days Grace

Breaking Benjamin

Chevelle

Cold

Disturbed

Linkin Park

Papa Roach

30 Seconds to Mars (though they're more prog rock these days)

and tons more

Nickelback isn't terrible, but there are tons of bands that play their style but do it better.

I don't know why they do, i guess everyone has their opinions and likes/dislikes..My friend's sister loves Nickleback!

They're awesome. Haters make them famous

In Sweden we use to say:

"Smaken är som baken - delad"

which means approximately:

"Taste is like the butt - it's split/different" / "What you like is like the butt - it's shared (in two pieces ;) )"

They are a good band with good songs

i think its because some people have bad taste in musics. they have bad judgement

i like nickleback.
