I live in Alabama, and I only saw one. It was a bright streak of light that flashed across the sky. If you are in a dark area, you will know it when you see it.

You can expect to see an, occasional, tiny, streak of light move very swiftly, across, the sky,..If you have ever seen a meteorite, or what is sometimes called a "shooting star", then that is what you can expect to see, You will not see anything spectacular, but rather you will only see more of them than usual,..You will be lucky if you see one every 2 or 3 minutes,..Generally speaking, these meteor, showers are not what they are cracked up to be,..

People who expect some sort of fireworks will be very disappointed because a meteor shower only means the number of shooting stars that can be seen in any given hour is greatly increased. They are so fleeting and the sky is so big you may not see any. A lot of shooting stars are seen in your peripheral vision and gone as soon as you try to zero in on them.
