Which company is better to buy 26" Sony or Samsung LCD TVs?
Hi,Please anyone can help me with this query. I am looking for a 26" LCD TV which will primarily be used for watching movies.I have shortlisted two LCD's Sony KLV-26S550A and Samsung LA26B480 LCD TVs and I would like to take an advice as the best choice for picture and sound quality for both models.Please give me a valuable suggestion for me.

I'm not a techi but I never go for Sony, their all about making their electronics look good but really the quality and sound isn't as good as other companies who cares about what people are wanting. I have a 60" Samsung LCD in full HD and it was much cheaper than Sony, and the picture is amazing.
For watching movies you can choose to also buy a blu-ray player and maybe a home theater system to boost the movie experience but if the budgets low, definitely a Samsung.

Sony LCD TVs Are Better
I Went to A Shop
And Watched the Same Tape on Many LCD TVs With Different Brands
Sony and JVC were the Best
And for The Guy Who said Phillips ,I did not watch the tape on Phillips or on Thomson

Sony may not be the best at everything but one of the best thngs sony makes is their TVs and a Sony TV is the one of the best TVs you can buy. Do NOT go to Walmart & you should be fine.
Reasons Sony TVs are Better -
- Sony TVs are better made - higher quality
- Sony TVs have many better features and good menus
- better color reproduction
- better & wider range of visual options
- very good/high quality control
- very functional
i highly recommend a sony (or toshiba) over any other brand when it comes to TVs

Double PS - SOMTIMES, but alot of times displays can be deceiving because the video/color/tint/whatever can be adjusted and on displays they are adjusted by many different sources including: different manafacturers different default settings, a sales associate who know his stuff, a sales associate who doesn't know what he is doing, or a customer who is F'ing around with the disply Tv. - Display/video settings on ALL TVs are adjustble One last PS - JVC IS good and is the ONLY TV (or cammcorder also) to use 3 color prossesors instead of 1. Sony always makes great quality products.
2 of my friends had Samsung LCD's and both broke within 3 months.
I recommend Sony. I personally love Phillips as a favorite.

You can make TV's on display in a store look good or bad.. I went to several stores, looked at many brands, asked many questions, and went with Samsung. It topped Sony for looks and features.! Sony is overhyped, and overpriced.
