News Flash: Ricky Hatton issues a rematch against Floyd Mayweather?
Ricky Hatton has officially stated that if he makes a comeback he wants it against Mayweather Jr. He said he wants "revenge". Such statements may have eliminated the long awaited speculation of him fighting Juan Manuel Marquez or Amir Khan. Of course I dont think the May-Hatton fight will ever take place, unless Mayweather takes it for the money, as Hatton is one of the biggest cash cows of boxing.
Ragtime: "But I think Floyd would have to move up to heavyweight to get a re-match with Ricky Fatton these days."
LOL! haha. man, that sht was funny! I gotta give you props for that!
lol. damn yall have been pretty harsh on Hatton! Can yall cut him some slack? LOL
Id like to see our great British boxing specialists like Dave, Andrew, and Big Willy defend this!

i think he has bee in the pubs too much thinking he has a shot at mayweather
it wasnt the ref that didnt let ricky "impose his style" on mayweather...
it was mayweather who wouldnt let ricky impose his style on him.
i mean for entertainments sake sure.. put another win on mayweather record. boost his knockout ratio.
he should want to prove to himself that he can go past 2 rounds with manny pacquaio!!!!
i mean ricky is not a "boxer" so its clear floyd will outbox him anyday
ricky is a brawler like pac(but pac has good head and footwork)
so why doesnt he try to prove to himself that he can last against someone more his style
ps. mayweather destroys his opponents mentally and physically!!!!
no one is the same after they face him

Ricky has entered the $$$ sweepstakes just like Mosely and the winner of Pacquiao/Cotto, they all want to cash in on the massive cash draw Floyd brings into the ring with him. Ricky does provide Floyd with another option, not that he needed one, but the odds are against a Hatton/Mayweather rematch. Most fans would prefer to see Floyd fight Clottey, Mosley or the Pacquiao/Cotto winner. Any solid welterweight would go a long way to silencing any remaining Mayweather critics, no one wants to see Floyd fight below 147 he is clearly too dominate.

The fact that Ricky Hatton has issued a rematch isn't the upsetting part, the thing that upsets me is Floyd Mayweather would actually take this fight.
Ricky Hatton is going to ruin it for everybody, Floyd mayweather is in a position where their are only a number of fights left for him all of which are great fights. Pacquaio-Cotto winner or Shane Mosley- Andre Berto winner or Antonio Margarito once he returns.
We don't want to see Ricky Hatton anymore he's like Nate Robinson in the NBA dunk contest, he keeps trying and trying and trying. Ricky Hattons best bet is to return to 140 and maybe rejuvenate himself their, or retire.

Im a BIG fan of PBF. If he tries to make a fight with Hatton I and MANY others die hard supporters will lose ALL respect for him. As much $hit everyone is talking about Pacquiao and Shane he would be a PURE ***** if he fought Hatton instead. No one wants to see that BUM Hatton in the ring anymore. I can't believe Hatton even had the balls to ask for a ***** rematch. FU@K HATTON!!!!

Ugh. Honestly, Hatton vs Mayweather Jr. 2 at this point in time would be a fùcking embarrassment for everyone involved.

Uhmm, why does he want to take revenge against Floyd if Pac gave him a much worse beating?... Is Hatton thinking that there is no way in hell he can beat Pac so he chooses an easier opposition (for him) in Mayweather?

Hatton would get OWNED again by Floyd, and this time it would be nowhere near the 10th round. But I think Floyd would have to move up to heavyweight to get a re-match with Ricky Fatton these days.

What is Hatton seriously thinking? I am afraid to see this fight being negotiated! It would be a definite dud for boxing!
