I am stuck with no money...How can I do this?

I was in a trip very far from home, and I lost my wallet with everything in it.  I stopped at this hotel and asked the manager if I can stay for few days until I get my documents sent to me.  I offered him my gold necklace which contains seven links.  He allowed me to stay seven days, but wants me to pay him for each day one link, and I have to pay one day at the time without cutting the necklace more than twice...how can I do it?

You cut off 1 link and then cut off two links together. (2 cuts giving pieces of 1, 2 and 4 links)

Day 1 you give him one link
Day 2 you give him the 2 and he gives you the 1 back
Day 3 you give him the 1
Day 4 you give him the 4 and take the 1 and the 2 back
Day 5 you give him the 1
Day 6 you give him the 2 and take the 1 back
Day 7 you give him the 1

I would not stay at a hotel and cut the necklace, you don't need one. Go with a hostal, it's WAYYYY more fun and much cheaper.  You can take a tent for 8 bucks.

WHY waste 80-90 dollars to sleep? That's absurd

The problem is why do you need a hotel? You wake up in the morning either way the same way. One you wake up with a necklace, the other way you don't.
