Walmart Scam is it gonna catch up with em?

They will get caught as soon as the video matches up, and if they are on there more than once, they will go to jail. WalMart video EVERYTHING at the returns desk, and have people whose full-time job is to compare tapes with public data until they find a match. If your friends have ever had a school photograph, a driving license, gone into a Federal Building, been on Facebook or YouTube, etc., etc...it is only a matter of time before they will be "going away"...

I used to work retail, even at Walmart for a few years and one of my gigs was to catch shoplifters. We used to always say that if we missed catching a habitual shoplifter, they'll be back to do it again-each time just a little braver than before. Usually there's an element of greed, thrill or even old-fashionned cluelessness which eventually catches up with them and they get caught. Hell, if they are lucky and never get caught there with that kind of character flaw something else will come of it sometime in their lives. Obviously don't go shopping with them and open yourself up to their games. You'd be doing yourself a big favor by finding new friends as well and leave the others behind.

If they keep doing it. If you return without a receipt they check your ID and limit how many returns you can make in a year.

They could go to jail if they are caught and Wal Mart wants to press charges. Tell your friends that if they are going to be dumb enough to risk going to jail atleast steal something that is more than $30.

Don't steal.... you're a minor if you keep clean and don't do anything else to get arrested then it will be closed when you become an adult. It wont bother you again unless you do some thing really bad then they may be able to open your juvenile records. My brother got arrested as a juvenile and when he became an adult he was still allowed to enlist in the military. It's not the end of the world, but it is a wake up call. Good Luck!

Do not ever go with your friends who steal to do any shopping or into a store or place that sells anything. You would be suspected and probably arrested if friends were arrested.

If you have been stealing anything, stop at once. Forever.

Immediately begin to find new friends. Drop the old ones.

Yes, it is bad. They probably won't go to jail for thirty dollars but they will get a record when they get caught. Sooner or later they will get caught. Shoplifting is a felony and will hurt them when it comes to getting jobs. If I were you I would talk to them and let them know that they can hurt their future when it comes to jobs. Hopefully that will be enough to get them to stop. There really isn't much you can do for them. You can talk to them or turn them in. If they don't stop my suggestion would be to find different friends to run around with because if you are ever with them when they do it and they do get caught you are an accessory to the crime.
