She announced at the end of today's WEEK's ROUND-UP shows that she will be away with those on a NPR trip to a part of the Middle East that receives little coverage in the Mainstream Media -- Do you listen occasionally or rarely? always? thanks for posting !

I am a regular listener and prefer her to her guest hosts (some are phenomenally weak) --
She has chosen well to be away this November unlike November of 2008 and next year during Congressional elections and 37 U.S. senate seats up for grabs; her voice of objectivity and fairness is certainly NOT a-political or ingenuous but respectful for those who are at times pure hokum -- for example, political gadfly Newt Gingrich who made an appearance and then ducked out at the half-time. . .

I will miss the program, but not as much as I would have in previous years. This is due mainly because through technology, because she could actually do the program many different ways with a laptop computer and its built in microphone. I'm sure she could transmit her program to be broadcast. If other media outlets can do it, I can't see why she can't.
