What is the difference between a cavaquinho and a ukulele?

    Virtually the same and played in similar fashion. The Portuguese call it the cavaquinho and the Hawaiians call it the ukulele. Essentially it was brought to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants.

    The ukulele is inspiration to be a successor of the cavaquinho. The cavaquinho originated in Portugal, and there may be evidence of it from ancient situations. The ukulele is such a lot powerful recognized from the nineteenth century.
