if you say god exists, why doesn't god help him?

We know there are people in prison who have been wronfully accused of horrendous crimes and can do nothing about it now but die in prison. Lets say a man is 23 years old, just got wronfully convicted of a double murder the killing of a pregnant woman. So the man is sentenced to life in prison without parole. So the man knows in his heart he didn't commit the crime, but nobody believes him, jurors found him guilty because prosecutor had a convincing case full of lies. So it's his first night in prison and he wont let anyone sleep he just screams on purpose as loud as he can. If he isn't allowed to live in peace he won't let anyone sleep in peace. So now what happens to this man, if god exists, where is god to set him free before he dies in prison in 50 years?

To any of you who'll say God doesn't exist, i'm an athiest myself, but where is god to help him. i know you can use other examples where other innocent people die, where is god, but i'm asking for this specific example.

Well, basically you are asking, why does God allow trials? Why does he allow evilness, why does he allow death, and why does he allow innocent people to pay for it?

First of all, God does exist. And as an atheist, you probably won't believe me, because you don't want to. If there was no God, there would be no atheists. You may not believe in God, I don't believe in atheists. EVERYBODY, no matter who, has a thought, a wonder, in their mind that says, "What if he does exist...?" It's election. He blinds some to the truth, and opens the eyes of others. If you are wondering if God DOES really exist, you're actually classified as agnostic. A person who is wondering if they should open their eyes, or remain in darkness. I'm sorry, but it's simple: Atheism may be a non-prophet organization, but it's also a non-profit organization.

If there truly is a God, and you are an atheist, you will burn for the rest of eternity in hell. Yes, eternity. Your body will be made fit for fire, and no matter how much you want to die to escape the pain, you can't. Your new body is made for living forever in agony. Hell isn't a place where you can enjoy being bad. You will hear a thousand other voices crying out in pain, but you will not see them- your eyes will be blinded from the heat of the fire. You can't run, you can't hide. You will only see darkness, and no hope of escaping.

If you are an atheist, and there is no God (which there is), you would rest in the ground forever. Yay, sounds fun.

If you are a Christian, and there is no God (which there is), you will rest in the ground forever, no harm done, no pain.

If you are a Christian, and there is a God, you will go to Heaven. And if you are expecting Heaven to be a nice place with butterflies, and all the cups of coffee you have ever dreamed of, who knows, it may be. But it's MORE than that. It's not some place to clown around, living your life with no worries. Yeah, you won't have any worries, no pain, no tears, no sadness, but the main point is, GOD IS THERE. You can actually SEE his face. See what he looks like, you can TALK TO HIM. And then you can ask why he allowed sin into the world. It's a beautiful place, streets of gold, no burnt food (just flawless gourmet meals- better than anything you can imagine on earth), water that is CRYSTAL clear- it won't even look like water it's so gorgeous, and BEAUTIFUL angels. Personally, I can't wait.

Now to answer your question... Why WOULD God allow sin?! Why would he allow an innocent, good man to be convicted of a crime he didn't commit, making him spend his life in a lonely prison- no friends, no family?

Let's look at it from this perspective. What if the world had no sin- what if it was just like Heaven? If it had no death, no misery, no pain? Well, clearly, if there was no sin, everyone would walk around like robots. We would all be the same, we'd all think the same. No bad thoughts, no hate. We'd obey everyone who ever told us to do something. We'd all look the same, not one blemish on our bodies, and we'd all act the same. How does that sound now? Sounds kinda boring, lol.

Sure, we'd all be glorifying God, we'd all be Christians. Because we would be perfect, and holy, as He is perfect and holy. But how are we supposed to know exactly how great God is, if he was just a ruler for us robots, if he didn't save us from anything?

That's why he sent sin. You can't ask a fish in water what it's like to be saved from dry ground, if he's always been in water. He wouldn't be grateful for what he has, because he's always had it. God made Adam and Eve sin so that he could later send His Son to save. That's why us Christians love God so much, why so many blinded people (the ones who haven't acknowledged that Jesus Christ saved us) think we're crazy. We think they're crazy, to be honest. They're heading down a slide to hell, and they laugh and persecute us for being so blind. OPEN YOUR EYES!!! I can't bear the thought of one of my friends being sent there. I beg you, even if I don't know you, acknowledge that you are saved.

That guy in prison, if he is a Christian, has been placed there by God for a reason. Right now he may be persecuted, denied by society, and hurting, but later, the people who persecuted him, WILL BE PUNISHED- in hell. While the innocent prisoner is sitting at the feet of Christ, perfect, in Heaven. He may have been put in prison because of this very reason, to test his patience, to see if he truly will be able to go to Heaven, if he will turn to God, or turn against Him.

Hope that helps, if you have any other questions, email me on here.

God does exist. First, this man is wrongfully convicted, but jurors found him guilty. If this man knows within his heart that he did not commit this crime, and only God knows, he will (and I say again) he will be set free! You see, God may not come when you want him, but HE IS, always on time. Whoever this 23 yr. old man is, I hope that he has the LOVE of God in his heart. But in the meantime while he is in prison, he has to be hopeful that God IS going to bring him through. God is setting him up for a better outcome. I hope this young man doesn't lose focus on what is really real, and that's God. With technology, DNA and all that other stuff, the truth WILL come out. All he needs is a little FAITH!

This is an age old question that we may or may never know even after death we may never know. According to science, and Athiests, He does not exist. According to religious types and people with faith, He does exist. According to Agnostics, He may or may not exist. But now back to the beginning, if He does exist, maybe one day He will show himself or let Himself known to the people, or in the Afterlife, as the Doctrine states, if you are good then you will be allowed in Heaven when God lives. Although it's also possible that there may not be an Afterlife but He still does exist for us to never know at all. Then there is also the belief that He does not at all exist nor does Heaven exist, this is the Athiest belief of what God is. For myself personally, I don't think I believe in Heaven, as much as I would absolutely like to, there is just nothing in my mind that will let me believe that Heaven exists and there are Angels with white robes and peace for all of the rest of your post life on Earth time. Although, I do believe there is a God, not the God that is in pictures with the white robe, long beard, halo, and everything else, but some form of higher entity that we don't know about and may never know about, but I believe there has to be something out there that is more powerful than anything else, some entity that basically in all other terms is...God.

God gave us Free Will, so we can choose to do what's right or what's wrong. The wrong or right that each person does affects other people, which is why some people end up in prison for things they didn't do. God will comfort those in prison if those people choose to turn to Him in prayer. But WE can do things with our own free will to make the situation better. We can visit those who are imprisoned so they don't have to face their problems alone. If you know of a person who has been wrongly convicted, you can contribute money to their defense fund so they can appeal their conviction. There was a group of law students led by their professor who re-investigated a capital murder case and freed a wrongfully convicted man.

God has given us the tools we need to help each other. We simply need to choose to find them and use them.

Yes there is a God. Keep the faith and he might set the man free. He may want him in prison to witness to people for Him. Remember there are people in the bible who went to prison and witnessed for God.

Expects people to help themselves.. and follow suggestions. It's not rocket science, some of the most f**ked up people I've ever hung out with were religious nuts, heh..

I'm not religious at all, i wouldn't say I'm an atheist really, I just don't care. I live life, have fun and die, who cares. =P

the thing is, god doesn't just make life perfect for you, everything happens for a reason. Say the man was innocent, but did something else? Or god was trying to keep him from doing something in the future, or something like that? It is possible that there's no signifigant reason as to why he was sentaced, but god does everything for a reason.

God will judge all the murderers, rapists, etc. one day. There time will come.

If he turns to God, then he will be helped.

God answers all prayers one of three ways, "Yes", "No", "Wait". If you pray for something and it happens right away, then His answer was Yes. If it doesn't happen right away but eventually does then His answer was Wait. If it never happens, then His answer was No. So rest assured, God will answer his prayers.
