A golfer, centered in a 30-yard-wide straight fairway, hits a ball 295 yards. To the nearest four decimal places, approximate the largest angle the drive can have from the center of the fairway if the ball is to stay in the fairway?
*The way I was doing it was by dividing the fairway in half and doing arctan(15/295) which is 2.9108, but it says I'm wrong*

I agree with your analysis and calculation. Are you sure the answer you've been given is in degrees? If it was in radians it would be 0.05080.
