Why can't I run videos from YouTube?

I click on a video and get the message that either JavaScript is turned off or I need to download new version of AdobeFlash. I have checked both of these and everything seems to be in order. What else can it be?

Was working fine a couple of days ago...

Update:

Yes, I have downloaded it. Three times!! That is why I am asking if anyone knows if there is something else I need to check.

Update 2:

Hmmm, only got 2 answers. I had already checked my Java-it was on. Had already updated as stated in details of question. I was hoping someone would be able to provide more info.

javascript is usually turned on by default...so, it might be your flash player is outdated..

and you need to re-install the flash (the correct way).

.. make sure all the browsers are NOT running during installation...

    OR..

    2. It could be due to slow connection or high traffic.

Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.

Or you could watch it offline smoothly... try using 'zillatube' .

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube", and select the first search result for download...
