At what age do women actually look for the "good" guy?

Hi!

I'm interested in doing some work in the near future for my psych class, so I'm posing this question to the Y!A community: At what age do women actually attempt to look for a long-term boy friend or husband?

Your answer doesn't have to be an exact number, but rather time frame (college, late twenties, etc.)

I'm trying to figure out at what point women realize the "good" guy (who may not be the most muscular or attractive) is the best for a long term relationship. Studies have shown that women let looks trump other important personality traits up until the timeframe I'm looking to really establish.

Thanks!

I've always looked for him. Although, more seriously and intensively when I am eighteen because I am not the type who likes jumping from relationships and what not. I like a solid foundation. Long-term is my preference. I go for personality then looks then my other 'requirement's so to speak.

When they are young, and have their dreams shattered a few times they finally wake up, and get over that puppy love thing.

( its puppy love, but is a true feeling)

I believe they start looking anywhere from 21 to 31.

Depends on how mature they are.

yes thats very true. as we mature we realize the things that truly matter and after experiencin some good lookin guys who are bad bfs you start to look elsewhere. its def in the late twenties. by then most are starting or are in their careers and are ready to start a family.

  • Well, I'm a young adult/teen, and I think personality is more important than looks. But, that's just me.
