I'm from the States, but my friends and I want to spend a weekend in Montreal this summer. I will be turning 21, and three of my best friends are coming along.

In which neighborhoods should I look for hotels? I want to be a relatively inexpensive hotel that isn't too far from the bars, etc. The last time I was in Montreal, I was a child, so I do not remember much.

Also, are there any festivals or events during the weekend of August 12-14?

I just downloaded the newest version of Facebook for BlackBerry (1.8.0.49) and I'm having trouble turning off notifications. I know that in this version, notifications are "push" based and no longer BIS-based. I have gone into my app options menu and active profiles to no avail. I still get the little Facebook icon at the top of my phone screen when I get a notification.

Any solutions?

I'm in college, and my best friend's father is coming to town to visit us for the long weekend. My friend's father is a wealthy executive and loves treating us. He's a very friendly, down-to-earth guy who has taken our friends out to dinner before.

I would like to show my appreciation somehow, since I feel awkward arriving at the restaurant empty-handed. This will be the second the time he has treated us to dinner.

I consider myself well-versed with cell phones, but I cannot come to a conclusion about the abilities of the Android vs. BlackBerry smart phones.

I know it's like comparing apples to oranges, but there are some features which are similar and could be of value.

I'm considering buying either the Motorola Android or BlackBerry Tour when my contract expires soon. I'm a busy college student who needs a smart phone! My friends with Androids love the functionality, but I'm afraid the hype will die off or issues may present themselves. The BlackBerry however, is reliable, stable and perfect for dealing with e-mails, etc.

Any thoughts? Which phone should I go for? Please provide logic behind your answer. Thanks!

I'm interested in doing some work in the near future for my psych class, so I'm posing this question to the Y!A community: At what age do women actually attempt to look for a long-term boy friend or husband?

Your answer doesn't have to be an exact number, but rather time frame (college, late twenties, etc.)

I'm trying to figure out at what point women realize the "good" guy (who may not be the most muscular or attractive) is the best for a long term relationship. Studies have shown that women let looks trump other important personality traits up until the timeframe I'm looking to really establish.

I would love a job in the marketing field, but I do know that those types of jobs (gen. marketing, advertising, graphic design) are the first jobs to get cut.

I thought about perhaps exploring marketing within the healthcare field (since it's recession proof).

Do you know of any such jobs? I'm not asking for actual job listings (I'm only a senior in HS) however I am curious if there are job titles in the healthcare field that encompass marketing or anything creative.
