Tracfone says Emergency Only!?

That's weird. Emergency only means that only 911 can be used . But even unactivated phones can call 911. It is the law. You should try and contact these people for help (forget regular Tracfone Customer service). If you call Executive Resolutions and end up with regular crappy customer service, hang up and call again when it's slower. They automatically reroute calls to regular CS when ER is overloaded. Timing is important.

You can also try 1-800-TEN-CENT. That is the Net10 number but they help with Tracfone. Though they are owned by the same company, their customer service is better then Tracfone's.

You need to put in a sim card with a plan on it in the cell phone. The sim card should be under the battery.

Sounds like it hasn't been activated or the SIM card is dead.

The number of the pin changes everytime that you put the pin in. The actual cell phone number doesn't change. ( I work at radioshack)
