What is this blister-like bump on my dog's head?

I just noticed this little single bump on my dog's head that looks like a small flesh-colored blister. It's soft and doesn't seem to bother him at all. I tried popping it (I know, don't remind me) but just a little drop of blood came out. He's an 11-y.o. dachshund, so maybe it's an age thing?

Update:

I considered ticks and I'm pretty sure it's not a tick. The bump is not red or evident of being filled with blood. It's definitely a part of my dog's head, not an addition.

Are you familiar with ticks that have swollen up due to being on the dog a while? They could be mistaken for a large light colored bump. If it is a tick, not try to pull it out by hand because will often leave its head in the skin and cause infection. If it turns out to be a tick, put rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and place directly on the tick. It should let go of the dog and you can place it on the ground and squish it dead.
