Why do Liberals get so pissed when Obama is compared to Jimmy Carter? Does the truth hurt?

There is a failure to understand that Carter inherited a situation that was faulty, just as Obama did. Every one likes to talk about a mess, but it could be worse, and like Carter, Obama is making it worse.

I am waiting for him to prove me wrong, he is not doing that yet.

Peace between Israel and Egypt had more to do with Anwar Sadat's desire for peace and Menachem Begin wanting some security for Israel. Jimmy Carter was just a bonehead in the middle.

I took a Reagan to fix the mess Carter left, and if Obama doesn't prove me wrong, then it will take another Reagan to fix it (no not Ronnie, but maybe Michael, but I know that's not happening). Problem is today's libs are even more partisan than ever.

For one, you are putting a false image on a president that has not even had a year. For two, Carter did not inherit the mess Obama did. Thirdly, should we compare you to your dad? He may have been an alcoholic and you are not, but by your reasoning you deserve to be labeled a boozer before you are 21.

Building houses for the homeless, trying to promote democracy overseas, Carter is far more moral than anything the "Christian" Conservatives and Republicans have. Why do they hate morality? Bush, Reagan, etc, go on to make cash giving speeches in Japan. What a bunch of anti-American, anti-human heroes for the Right. Carter and Obama are better than anything the Right has to offer, does that bring you joy?

No. We get pissed because those comparisons require a level of intellectual deficiency in order to be believed that is insulting. Liberals' understanding of the world and history is great enough to see how foolish those comparisons are.

Not me. I like Jimmy Carter he is a good and decent man.

Since conservatives still don't even understand that W was the worst President in US history, or why, I don't think the so called conservatives should even be opening their mouths.

No one wants to hear from people who were so partisan that they elected W twice. Why on earth would they?
