Who built the Ancient Egyptian pyramids?

the Ancient Egyptians built the Pyramids .

a pharoah who wanted to immortalize himself and build a tomb for himself gave his orders to those who worked for him to build a pyramid .

Cheops was the first Pharoah who did this .

the big Pyramid was built 4500 years ago.

the first pyramid was the one of Zosr and it was a step pyramid, built around 2670 B.C

before that Egyptians had Mastabas ( an arabic word for a bench) they were square structures built on top of tombs, Imhotep was the 1st architect to think about placing a number of Mastabas on top of each others ,thus forming the 1st step pyramid.

Cheops came a dynasty later ( round 2450 B.C) and he built the biggest ( not the first) true pyramid , the first was built by his father Senefru

There were very clever architects leading well trained builders, and the rest of the Egyptian farmers will be joining in the building as well during the time their land was flooded by the Nile

a record on Cheops's pyramid mentioned a number of 10000 men working in shifts in the building.

they were employed and paid by the king ( not slave work)

N.B the presence of Jews in Egypt was not before the new kingdom around 1400 B.C , that is some 1000 years after the pyramids were built.

ancient egyptians had to cut big blocks of rock(granitetc.) they had to use wooden blocks to transport the 2 and a half ton blocks to the needed place. They hand to start with a base just lining them up to make a square. They then had to use the wooden boards to get the blocks to go above those already put down blocks. That just added up. over much time and MANY people a pyramid was completed. There are 3 different types of Egyptian Pyramids so the way to build each is different. Hope that helped.

They were mosltly enslaved people who built them for the pharoahs and stuff....i'm sure if you surf the net harder you will find a lot of stuff about this....the pyramids are a huge deal...
