Is this punishment too harsh?

... a new notice appeared at the golf club last week-end. I have voiced my opinion to the steward that the punishment is far too harsh but he insists it isn't

I think the punishment should fit the crime, if you are stealing balls then rightly yours should be removed. As a woman I also like that it has no consequence what so ever to me, they could call the cops but all that takes is a little smile, a tug on the shirt and the hike of a skirt, besides I have yet to meet someone who would not simply give his balls freely when asked.

This sign is surely directed at those who are so rude to touch someones balls without asking and that should be punished stiffly.

Actually, I have just had a belt buckle with basically the same statement made for my wife..perhaps you had seen it the past few weeks.

No, I do not find that harsh at ALL.

Yes, that is way too harsh. If their are stray golf balls any one shall be able to pick them up.

No not at all. I've said it a few times in my life. Just not on the golf course.

I find it far too lenient Scoundy. As I read it, a person may only be prosecuted once and then is free to commit thievery with no consequences.
