In god we trust??????

if there's separation of church and state, and some people have different beliefs than others, or no beliefs, why is it, that we put "in god we trust" on our money? 'Cause some people don't trust in god, or some just don't believe in him. and if the government shouldn't have a say in our religion, why do they put that on our currency?

Because our nation was founded as a Christian nation, and in my book, it is still a Christian nation. You can thank the pilgrims who traveled that long voyage on the Mayflower, and George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Two of the greatest presidents in our nation's history! We trust in God to preserve our nation from evil. (I think you know what I mean). Oh yes, when you are talking about the one and only true God, please capitalize his name. In God we trust, and God bless America!

That is put on our currency because it was what our country was founded on.

"Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" "In God we trust", goes right along with it.

Its not, in my opinion an infringement on our religion, and in no way does this infulence it. America was foun ded on Christian beliefs, and The belief that God will watch over and bless us.

If you don't agree with my, first off, you should go an open a history book, and second, no one cares. It really doesnt matter what any atheists or non-God worshiping people believe. It will not be changed, becasue it always has been and always will be, In God We Trust!

Because Christians founded this country under Christian ideals, and even though I don't consider myself Christian, its a hell of a lot better to have these laws then it would be otherwise. Nobody tells you what to believe. If it offends you that much, you need a hobby.

That's very interesting....just goes to show how hypocritical they were back then...

EXAMPLE:..."All man were created equal"....(except the slaves..)

"Seperation of Church n State"....(but in God we trust)

I think your original "E Pluribus Unum" motto is much more fitting and much more inclusive.
