Does anyone know if NuFinish Liquid Car Polish protects against UV rays?
I went to the NF web site but it gives very little information. I was wondering if it protects against the sun's ultra violet rays, and I also would like to know if it holds up at automatic car washes or when it states "holds up through 52 car washes" - does that mean hand washing only?

it will protect against uv rays yes
and
i HIGHLY doubt it lives up to its claim
can stand 52 car washes
and only have to apply it once a year

Tanning oil is designed to get you dark so usually there is no SPF in it or a very low level under 15. You should be using SPF30 and it needs to be applied every hour you are out in the sun or after swimming or sweating heavily. If you want instant colour try self tanners, they can be very effective with the proper prep work. Make sure you exfoliate and moisturize before you apply. Use a heavier moisurizer on knees and elbows (keeps colour from concentrating there). If you do tan out doors or in for that matter never burn. Burning causes sun damage, it is not the way to a great tan!
