If the Yankees manage to lose this World Series, how much money will they throw around this offseason?

Last year they didn't make the playoffs and spent an enormous amount of money signing players. If they lose this World Series, will they spend more or less than they did last offseason?

Consider them going up to 300 Million. They might also try to steal Jayson Werth away from the Phillies who'll be a free agent; since the Yankees current Right Fielder, Nick Swisher shouldn't be in Major League Baseball.

I'm also sure they'll hand over any farm system prospects they have in attempt to get Roy Halladay.

And in the end, money will again prove useless in winning them a championship. Notice their best years were in the mid-late 90s when they had 'homegrown' talents that had come up through the system, such as Jeter.

Phillies homegrown talent includes Rollins, Utley, Howard, Hamels, etc. On the brink of a dynasty.

Baseball is a interest performed on a container bu human beings, it is been like that for one hundred forty+ years. Video ought to by no potential be used to overturn an umpires call, it particularly is the human element. ought to a batter get yet another risk after he swings and misses through fact he thought a fastball exchange into coming in spite of the shown fact that it exchange right into a metamorphosis-up? If an element-arming lefty is introduced in to stand Ryan Howard and he hits a homerun doe the chief get to declare - wait, enable me try this lower back? NO. gamers, managers and umpires all make errors, it particularly is the human part of the interest and it is going to by no potential be tampered with. God forbid it happening to the Yankees. Then each pitch, hit and umpire call could be reviewed. The video games could take 5 hours. do not forget approximately the Jeffery Maier play whilst he interfered with Jeter's flyball against the O's in ninety six. terrible call resulted interior the O's dropping the interest.

Probably not as much as The Red Sox who paid $50 million just for the RIGHT to speak to that Japanese guy..whats his name again????

Just think if we did away with professional sports, not one person on the entire globe would have to starve to death.

I dont think they will spend too much. I know they will sign Joe Maeur though, and maybe add another starting pitcher.

About the same as this year (plus cost of inflation). There's no one left to buy.
