Shouldn't Obama have asked the tough questions about Afghanistan last November, so he could lead the troops?

Update:

If you take three months to think about things every time something changes in a war, a lot of your soldiers will die.

The bad guys aren't pondering a thing - they're just blowing people up every day.

The Commander-in-Chief should always be on top of military operations in a war, if Obama had spent more time meeting with his generals ( 1 time since he has been in office) instead of golfing and on TV telling us how good he is. I remember when he said he could easily do more than one thing at a time, it appears he cannot mufti- task very well and cannot do anything without his teleprompter, I guess he will blame his teleprompter for not staying in touch with the generals, by the way, what is his staff doing, were they not aware of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, it appears they are more interested in converting our economic system to Socialism than anything else **********************

He wasn't president last November and didn't have access to all the advisers and information he has now. He isn't taking any more time than Bush did with some of his war related decisions.

you're assuming he was given full disclosure last fall and nothing has changed.

I wish Cheney/Bush would have dithered more.

What's the rush? How exactly is Obama's gathering information to make a fully informed decision hurting anything? If he does fully approve McChrystal's recommendation are you going to criticize every time a soldier is hurt or killed?
