    Hello Animegeek.

    :D

    Yes or no answers.

    >>Well, I can already tell you that my answer is No to all of those, but I'll also explain my reasonings too.

    Who the person is?

    >>I dont choose a Best Answer based on the person's identity because even if they had an extremely important Y!A status(lets say they were the Top Answerer in the section in which I asked the question in), and they gave me a vague one-sentence answer, and a level one user with a lesser-known status gave me a fully well-though out detailed answer I would choose the lesser-known user.

    If they were your friend or not?

    No, dont get me wrong, I like to make friends on Y!A and the more the merrier, but I couldn't just resolve my question based on the recipiant of the B.A. bieng my friend or not.

    If they were top contributor or not?

    >>The T.C. status doesnt actualy mean anything on a larger scale, it just means you're knowledgable in a particular section, what matters is if you have the consistency to keep the T.C. status, so if they didnt, then they wouldnt be getting a Best Answer from me just so I can help them stay a T.C.

    How many thumbs up/down they had?

    >>Alot of the time people choose Best Answer on the amount of Thumbs Ups, mainly because they think everyone favors thier answer and its the best decision, I on the other hand disagree with that and I'll choose anyone no matter what rating they have.

    Their percentage of best answers?

    >>I look at B.A. percentage pretty much the same way I look at the T.C. status.

    Their total number of points?

    >>Points do not matter either, I wouldnt care if you had zero points, I'd still choose you as B.A. if you deserved it.

    If they gave you a star or not?

    >>They can star it if they want to but they dont really *have* to, it wouldnt really alter my decision.

    If they agreed with you?

    >>Agreeing with me is great, as long as you can support why.

    >>If they disagreed with you?

    Disagreeing with me is fine too, as long as they can support why.

    Well last time I asked a question was years ago on a different account but I'll try to remember I guess ^^"

    >>Who the person is?

    》lol, yes.

    >>If they were your friend or not?

    》Yup.!

    >>If they were top contributor or not?

    》Psh, no. That stupid little badge is a nuisance that people think too much of.

    >>How many thumbs up/down they had?

    》One time when I had absolutely no clue which to pick. Hey it was kind of a clever answer :3

    >>Their percentage of best answers?

    》Nope, another little nuisance people too much of.

    >>Their total number of points?

    》Nope.

    >>If they gave you a star or not?

    》Nope. Maybe if they added me as a contact or something XD

    >>If they agreed with you?

    》If they had a good argument as to why my opinion is right (err why they agree with it.)

    >>If they disagreed with you?

    》If they had a good argument :)

    >>> no

    >>> no

    >>> yes (when two people have the same answer and ones a top contributor I generally give it too the person who ISN'T a top contributor)

    >>> Yes (when I don't know whats right or wrong it helps)

    >>> no

    >>> no

    >>> no

    >>> no

    >>> no

    I generally give best answers to the people who, when it's a quiz, are most enthusiastic without being obnoxious, or, when it's a serious question, the people who are the most thoughtfu l, mature and honest in there answers.

    If the question required a yes or no answer then I would pick a best answer with a yes or no answer, I'd pick the first person to respond though. It wouldn't matter if I knew the person, percentage, TC, points, agreed or disagreed with me. :)
