Who would have thought that the peeling of the humble egg would have so many different ways of doing so. After cooking, cooling and cracking the said egg make sure the membrane between the egg white and the shell is pierced so water can get underneath, this acts as a lubricant. It is virtually impossible to peel a fresh egg and keep the white intact

The key here is never try to boil new fresh eggs they never peel right.

Use the oldest eggs you have - if you know your going to boil eggs buy some and a week later boil them.

Also when you start out use cold water, cover them put a lid on the pan turn it on high as soon as they start to boil pull the pan off the heat leave the lid on and let them sit for 15 to 20 mins. now pour off the water and run cold water on them. OK....I guarantee you can now peel them! do these steps as I said and you will be successful everytime!! Good Luck :)

Older eggs (about a week old) are easier to peel than fresher eggs. Take them out of the fridge about 30 minutes before you cook them. After they're done, immediately put them into cold water (it prevents the yolk from going green around the edge). Crack the shell all over and put them back into the water for a few minutes - the water will seep under the shell and help with the peeling.

I've found adding salt to the water when boiling, then cooling them before peeling, helps with the issue of them tearing up when peeling. I rarely lose an egg anymore. ☺

Also, my Mother used to have a device for eggs that poked a pin hole in one end of the egg before boiling...it also made a difference in the ease of peeling later (or seemed to).

    1. Boil the water.

    2. Only then, put the egg in and for about 10 minutes.

    3. Place the egg into a bowl of ice cold water.

    That's the only secret !

boil the egg for about 30 minutes . After boiling keep it in the hot water for about 20 minutes again. Then the shell starts removing automatically.

Easy trick. Make sure it's boiled hard enough, then roll it over the table, so the entire peel is cracked. The peel will come off in one piece like that.

Firstly when boiling an egg the older the egg the better it is, and secondly if eggs in fridge let it reach room temp before boiling

The older the egg, the easier to peel when hard boiled. Could use your oldest eggs to hard boil

run cold running water in a small stream over the pan your eggs are in and peel under the running water
