If you want your pants scared off I'd say

    *event horizon (SF/gore)

    *sphere (SF)

    *the ring (Fantasy)

    *hostel I (Gore)

    *the exorcist (Fantasy)

    *seven (Thriller)

    All of them are horror.

Poltergeist, The Strangers, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Exorcist (way scary)

  • Try the original, "Last House on the Left." Not the remake. Also, I thought the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre was pretty scary. The Saw movies too.

I LIVE for Horror movies...not blood and guts but something that makes me not want to sleep at night. I'm kind of like you nothing seems to do it anymore...even "Hills Have Eyes" did not make me want to hide under my cover. ... PERSONALLY I find that the older movies are the best such as the "Exorcist", 'Rosemary's Baby' , 'Eraserhead', ... I guess The Freddy movies are okay too which comes with that Pet Cemetery. ... Now I tend to LAUGH at most horror movies...for instance 'The Mist' and 'House On Haunted Hill' are my best Laugh at scary movies...just to name a few. ...You could always google it and see what comes up! :)

    Good luck

I always get creeped to heck when I watch Hitchcock's "The Birds" - it's psycological, but still pretty effective.

I remember never being so scared as when I was 17 and watched "What Lies Beneath" with Michelle Pheifer in theatres. Scared the bejesus out of me!
