A complex question about philosophy?

Hello, my name is Martha, I am a student of master in criminal policy in the university, When I chose to study "political criminal" I never imagined I would have to grapple with the labyrinthine mind of men like Hegel, Kelsen, Kant, McCormick, Habermas, Descartes, Toulmin, and others whose names I do not want to remember.

I intend to save my almost lost semester and it took several days obsessively searching on the web the best way to understand Hegel and Kelsen, mainly. I had the misfortune to find them in matters of legal sociology and legal arguments which are taught in law school, I find it (not just to me) irritating to read and read without understanding, or start to believe that understand and suddenly see that I´ve lost, it already had its effect, I and other colleagues of mine are in very poor academic condition.

The reason to write and tell all this is to ask what method can we use or employed to understand Hegel or Kelsen, and if anybody could share with us some advice about it.

Thank you very much for your attention.

You only have a couple of options. It really depends on how your learn best.

You can read up on them- but to me that's quite boring (however, my method is to print off some material, put it in my bag and read it whenever im board or on a bus, etc)

You can involve yourself with active debates regarding matters linked to Hegel or Kelsen - i like this option

you can watch some sort of documentary regarding the subject, there must be something like this on the web- again a more intresting way of learning

You can start paying attention in class- to me that was also boaring

You can find someone who is knowledgeable about this and get them to explain it to you.

You only have your 5 sences to learn with and smell, touch and taste do not apply. So you have to choose, learn with your eyes or with your ears.

The best advice I can give you right know is to read more carefully. Use a dictionary and the internet. Break it down and absorb it one piece at a time.

If you don't have time to do that, try finding some decent websites and/or books summarizing the philosophy of Hegel and Kelsen.

it is not person-friendly to say no to that query. Philosophy is the oldest checklist of guy's interest to be conscious of and comprehend in articulate words, and may be the final data earlier all of guy dies out. Anti-philosophy could nonetheless be under philosophy, in basic terms like anti-artwork remains artwork.
