How much is this pony worth?
11yo Welsh Sec A gelding, brilliant kids pony. Can be ridden by a novice child but can also jump etc for a more experienced rider. Can be ridden by a small adult. I don't have a picture but he has good conformation.

The second poster doesn't know anything about ponies... they regularly live to be 40 years old! I'd say this pony has 20-30 years left of riding. The pony (pure Welsh) who I learned to ride on was just put down at age 47 and she was still ridden until age 46, going strong.
Anyway, I'd say 2500-3500 range for this pony. Safe children's ponies are in high demand. Parents want something they know is going to take good care of their kids, and they will pay for it.

First, a quick tip for the photo: right click (if you use a macbook pro, it's control and then click) the photo and then click "copy image location." Now, to the pony. How long have you been riding? If you've been riding for a while and feel like you have a lot of experience, this may be alright. On the other hand, if you haven't been riding for a long time, and are particularly upset when a horse bucks you, this pony may not be for you. Because it is a friend's pony, you'll probably want to get to know her. Ride her a few times, learn her personality, etc. Knowing the horse before you buy it is always a good thing. If you don't like her, then I don't think your friend will have any hard feelings when you say "no." Just remember, don't buy the pony because it's pretty, or meant to be a good horse. You'll know when the right one comes along.

Most ponies that have the qualities you are describing usually go for around $2000-3000. MOST. Welsh ponies seen to be best for kids because of their size, which means he might go to a home for a kid. Some parents are new to the industry of horses so don't be afraid to fill there head with some knowledge on the topics of the horse. Also don't be afraid to up on the price if you think it's a good ideas.

I have a small pony quite like your own which I sold for £1,500 (in Northern Ireland) so I would say you will get about £1500-£2000 for him. If you are selling him make sure to say that he is a great first-time pony, and mention if he has done pony club, riding club, showjumping, working hunter, dressage etc. as I find this helps to attract a lot more buyers.

From about 800 to a grand, at his height would really only suit small kids, not adults.
He could also be advertised for lead rein if you wanted
Average price here for them is either just under or over a grand
With recession, horses and ponies just aren't going for the money people want to sell them for.

Kid's ponies that aren't green broke and half lame, are very hard to find.
He's a perfect age too. People should kill to buy him.
Especially if he's in shape and could do local shows.
I'd say 1,500 to 2,500.

we bought my daughters little pony a few years ago. we paid £300.
ponies are not making a lot of money at the moment.
most people i know are putting them out on loan. than giving them away.

The horse would have 8-10 years left. It would be what ever the person is willing to pay for it. I would give 500 to 1000 USD for a good kids horse.

its really hard to tell with only that amount of information. To better judge the price of the pony one would need to know how many hands he is, how high he has jumped, does he trailer/stand for farrier...etc.
