Religion should not be the most important thing in life. Love for your family and those closest to you and faith in oneself should be first and foremost. Religion does not make a person great. The way you live your life and treat others is what makes you a good person. (Too many terrible things have been done in the name of faith.)

Religion is not important to me at all. They are made by man. My relationship with God is very important to me however. As you say, without faith, there is no life.

My "creator" gave me free will. I use that will to not wake up early on Sunday and go somewhere where I am bored to tears with some squirrly pastor preaching about the same thing he did a month ago. My religion is not important yet I keep an open mind if someone wishes to contact me from the spiritual side.

  • My family is the most important thing in my life, but my beliefs tend to be intertwined with my interactions with others, in particular my children.

I don't think that I'd be half the person I am without the time I've spent reflecting upon the lessons taught in Buddhism, nor do I think I'd be even remotely as self-aware. So, I don't believe it is a bad thing to place importance on.

My religion is my life. Okay, sure i don't travel the world to preach the 'Good News', but i try to live by Gods teachings as best i can. Oh, and or those of you who say you are happy with no faith, you must not know what true happiness is. Sure, family, friends, money, etc are good to have in life, but so is God. He is our Father, the one who created us to begin with. : )

My religion isn't important because it is only a title. It's my beliefs and morals that are important, not the name.

religion is as important as light to dispel darkness from our lives. Most of us are just confined to observing rituals in the name of religion. Religion actually is realligning with the source.....from where it all has come. So one must undersrtand and be identified with our creator after attaining our self realisation.

It has the utmost importance to me, being on the level of fingernail clippings beneath the carpet.

    I have life.

    I do not believe.

And yes, my lack of faith is very important to me. It keeps me from believing in fairy tales and following backward teachings.
