broke my front tooth and have to be at work in an hour help?

I was brushing my teeth and my front tooth broke it looks like i have a huge gap is there anything i can do i have to go to work in an hour

Update:

it don't hurt its not bleeding i had a small cavity there my dentist was going to work on it in Dec I have no insurance and just started my job last week i don't want to call in

    If it's your natural tooth, your dentist can glue it back on, as long as you keep it moist. Best, if you keep it under your tongue until the appointment. This should be done asap, before the tissue in that piece dies off.

    If it's only composite resin, you worry about it. This seems to be the case, as your tooth isn't bleeding, which it would if it was a natural tooth piece that broke off. You can go to work and see a dentist later on. He'll just redo the work. No need to keep the broken piece in this case.

    The sooner you get to the dentist the better. They can still put your tooth back on but if you wait too long they'll have to give you a veneer. I got hit in the face with a door in 2nd grade and I've had a veneer since then. It's broken off twice but the one I have now has been in for several years now.

    i would call of work and go to the dentist. your tooth shouldnt have broken off while brushing your teeth
