Why are Chinese people the WORST treated race in America recently?
I've noticed that many Chinese people (and maybe other Asians) are treated the worst by people in general..
for example... At my school, there's not much tension between whites, blacks, or Mexicans... but there were these 2 Chinese people who were brother and sister who were from New York, and they transferred to my school.. and the sister was in my English class and the brother was in my Drama class...
and they were treated like ****!
*Everyone* was making fun of them being Chinese, like saying "you want pork fry rice, pork fry rice" and I could tell that they didn't like it but didn't show it... this was in BOTH of my classes which they were each in... and they would make fun of the guy's name and stuff.... like seriously they were all like "I geev you eggroll" and all this stupid ****...
so in both my classes I was like 'that's not really not funny' and they stopped for a short bit... but i felt sooo bad for them...
Why does it seem that the Chinese people the worst treated race, but no one ever stands up for them or says it's wrong?!
I was like 'that's really not funny' ** typo**
OMG it's a Ninja: I do go to a pretty much predomintary black school, and no one makes fun of me just cuz I'm white...
If I had to guess the demographics of my school it would be-
55% black
20% white
15% Hispanic
10% Asian
that's just a guess, for anyone who asked.
and it just wasn't that one time, they get treated bad a lot in my area, unless they act *completely* American, have an American name, etc...

That's true. Funny, you are the first in a long time I have heard to mention this.
It's really ignorant how they are treated. It's mainly because asian kids are more courteous and educated and that irks your typical American White and Black kids who are more used to violence and improper behaviors.
By the way, you said recently... Oriental kids have been treated like poop in U.S. schools for a long time.

I 100% agree w/ Jenpoop's answer. High school is high school so of course kids will treat each other like sh*t, and just b/c it is happening there doesn't mean it's happening all over America in or out of high school. By the way, Chinese isn't a race, it's just a nationality. So Chinese can't be the worst treated race cause they are not a race.
Besides that I feel bad for the Chinese kids, and that whole "you want pork fry rice, pork fry rice" is incredibly stupid. The teasers must have been idiots. Sadly there will always be idiots roaming among us.

I know this is a dead post but the problem is still there. I am assuming that you live in a landlocked state? Generally speaking coastal areas are a little bit better (sometimes). I think people are ignorant of people that looked different. Highschool is like a jail. lol. I think the mentality is pretty much the same. People would jump on you if they smell blood. I believe it's because of their own insecurity. I would rather chew others than themselves. In a multiracial state like America, there are bound to be some race that need to be scapegoated. If it wasnt the Asians then its going to be the mexicans or the black to you fill in the black. Strangely, whites never experience this. I can only say this for myself. I experience racial prejudice personally and it sucks. I hope people can become nicer when they grow up.

You can't take one situation that happened in your school and say that's what's happening in all of America. I'm pretty sure you're mistaken. But if you're not, I would think it might have something to do with the shoddy merchandise we're getting from China (various items contaminated with lead, and then the whole thing with the Chinese drywall). But I really haven't seen any Chinese people being treated poorly in America lately. And even if I had, I wouldn't assume that just because I saw one instance of something, that it must be happening everywhere. Believe it or not, isolated events do occur. Also, you can't really take anything that happens in high school and assume it happens in the real world. High school is high school. Kids treat everyone like **** there. Just because. Doesn't mean that's what's going on outside of the school.

Look at women's rights in Muslim theocracies or where Islam has a strong influence on the governments. Biblical Christianity is little better, it is just that most societies where there is a majority Christians have become secular and either afford women equal rights and protections, or are on the way to that position. Edit: As for the two posters above me - arranged marriages and honour killings used to be the norm in Christian societies. This is not a Christian/Islam difference, but a theocratic/secular difference. Civil rights, women's rights, etc. have increased with secularism, not with Christianity.

I agree and disagree at the same time.
In my high school the majority of the kids here are white and korean.
They all tend to get along.
But the asians in my school are white washed. They're not those typical asians with those funny names.
Plus the reason why they get made fun of is because they're too quiet and they don't say anything to back themselves up.

Wow. I don't think that represents the norm in America. In my high school it's not like that at all. I've never seen a kid being made fun of for their race, to be honest, except kidding around between friends. And I live in the south.
Maybe it's just a few kids at your school who are immature. I don't think that represents the majority, because the majority of kids hate racism.

They are treated this way because your school isnt used to seeing asians around thier area.If there was more asians around your area then they wouldn't treat them right. Its like me i am caucasian and i live in a bad area (Newark) and they talk about us caucasian people, its mostly the hispanics that try to act black and start to make fun of us and its usally streotype jokes which sometimes piss me off.I been to two different schools and its the same. The last school i was in wasint so racist of us but my new school is highly racist of whites. There are other white people in the school but they tend to make fun of there own kind, and they too try to act something thier not.

i understand how you feel, but even if we stand up for the races that get mistreated poorly what would actually be done? majority rules and if majority doesn't give a d***, then our words and feelings don't mean anything. honestly i think they'd get more upset and treat them even more unfairly. all i can say on this is to keep doing what you're doing and i the same. i don't like to see people get mistreated or made fun of, especially because of their race. it isn't fair, but after all we do live in unfair times. btw, do you ever talk to them?

Haha...No.
If a white guy went to an all black school you think he would get made fun of? Yes.
If a black guy went to white school...Or even and predomintary asian school you think he would be treated right?
Im guessing you dont have alot of asians at your school but yeah..
