Can someone help me interpret this recurring dream?

I'm a junior in high school and I have been having a lot of dreams about being late for school over the past few years. In some dreams, I'd miss the bus. In other dreams, I'd look at the clock and it would show a time where school has already started. I never go to school in my dreams when I'm late, but I just know that I am late.

When I actually go to school in the waking life, 99% of the time I'm punctual. And if I ever am late, it's only by ten minutes at the most.

I don't understand it -- I get adequate sleep, I go to school at the same time almost every day, and I even like school! Can someone help me figure this out?

Your subconscious is telling you that it is alright to take some extra time. You are a meticulous person and time is of the essence. I also see that some people at school have been giving you a hard time about your goody-goody attitude. Perhaps the dream is reflecting a need to be late, just to be a bit naughty, to fit in with the bully (or popular) crowd?

Now do something different, Go to school half an hour early, or even an hour, and take a flask of something hot with you. Then you will never be late, but you will have the added advantage of knowing who will be, plus a hot beverage to while away the time watching people scurrying about their business, because they waited until the last moment before actually doing what they needed to.

The unconscious mind is incredibly powerful. It is charged with the responsibility of running our entire body, from cradle to grave, 24/7. Could you imagine having to remember to tell your heart to beat? (Oops...I forgot…argggggggggggg!) LOL!

One of the greatest functions of our body is the creation of dreams as a means of stabilizing our psyche using dramatic scenes. Through the powerful wisdom of the unconscious mind, we are allowed to act out scenarios that might cause us pain or embarrassment in our waking life. It is important to remember that our dreams are solving a problem for us, and our understanding of this process can profoundly affect our waking life.

The human mind is extremely literal, and creates symbols to tell a story shaped by our emotions. School, in your dream state, represents a place where an emotional conflict that you are avoiding must be dealt with. Your unconscious mind provides an out for you through tardiness and gives you a pass for the day. However:

There is an inevitability to all of this. Whatever it is that you are avoiding (most likely a family relationship that is dysfunctional) will eventually have to be addressed. When that day comes in your waking life, the dreams will cease, having served their purpose.

Don't rush the matter. Your mind understands that you are not emotionally prepared for the confrontation just yet. Best wishes to you!

i'm notably stable at dream interp so permit me supply this a shot. i could say that's an exciting one. many times the vehicle motif is reserved for all times pathways. So a individual forever caught in opposite feels like they are going nowehere in life, a individual whho can't get the vehicle began is fairly feeling like they are caught. however the no brakes in opposite. i think of that's often one in all 3 issues. First you're able to desire to easily be afraid to force. 2d you're able to desire to be afraid that what you're at present doing right this moment will deliver you careening the incorrect path your life. The 0.33 and what I evaluate maximum possibly is which you have some thing shady or undesirable on your previous which you opt to maintain hidden from others the two a guilt or some thing undesirable that replaced into performed to you. And events beforehand of the dream stir up suggestions you're able to particularly keep locked. And the no brakes i s a project which you're feeling if the previous is opened you will not have the flexibility to cease it from popping out

My wild guess is that you worry too much and pay overly attention to details. Relax. Ask yourself as to what one bad thing will happen if you are late for school on a one off day and 99.99% of times the answer would be nothing. Hope this helps. Good luck!

To dream that you are late, denotes your fear of change and your ambivalence about seizing an opportunity. You may feel unready, unworthy, or unsupported in your current circumstances. Additionally, you may be overwhelmed or conflicted with decisions about your future. You feel time is running out and that you do not have time to accomplish all the things you want. But in your circumstances it just seems that your worried about something..hope this helpss

This means yoy do not feel totally in control of situations around you. This could relate to any part of your life like leisure or ambition. I think it has to do with the transition to highschool, not being a child anymore. Hope I helped <3
