  • Where is the best place to live on the east coast?

After I graduate from college, I want to get away from NYC. I'd rather live in/near a large city close to or by the ocean with a warm climate most, if not all, year round. I love summer weather and HATE harsh, chilly winters. I dislike small towns -- I'd like to be within walking distance to stores and such.

What cities do you think I should look into?

  • What does, "A fatto in diavolo a quattro" translate into?

I'm doing a project for my Italian Culture class and need to know the literal English translation. Google Translator won't help, so does anyone know what it means in English?

  • My nephew won't stop taking off his diaper...?

My two-year-old nephew constantly takes his clothes off and his diaper. My mom and sister are really annoyed by it, so much that my mom had to resort to wrapping duct tape around his diaper to keep it on. Lately, he's been ripping that off as well.

We've tried everything from telling him to stop to using onesies. Nothing works.

Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?

  • Can someone interpret this dream?

Last night, I dreamt that my crush and I were on a swing set swinging back and forth and having a conversation (I don't remember what it was about though). I remember swinging really high. Then I remember that we ended up in this living room that kind of looked like mine and we were still talking and having a good time.

I saw this plant to my right and the leaves were turning yellow and I said something like, "Since the leaves are kind of yellow, it means we'll always be friends" (he was moving away soon in the dream and he actually is, too in real life).

Next thing I knew, he just took off and moved away without saying goodbye (which he usually does sometimes when we talk on Facebook) on some kind of train that looked like something from Polar Express. I remember getting really upset, too.

What is this dream trying to tell me? Is it more literal than figurative?

  • I overworked my calf muscles to the point where it's difficult to walk...?

...and they're totally sore and have been since yesterday. Yet, when I work my arms, they're not aching the next day at all (I work my arms a lot more than my calves). How can I be sure I'm not overdoing or under-doing any strength training?

  • I'm thinking about moving to Sydney, Australia when I'm older; what exactly is it like down there?

I'm 16 and live in America, and my dream for 5-10 years from now is to live in Sydney, Australia, if I like it enough.

So what can I expect if I go to Australia?

  • Does anyone know what the name of this book is?

I can't remember the name of it. All I can remember is that the main character's name is Cole and he's kind of psycho or something. I remember in one scene he gets attacked by a bear and it's raining; his bones are broken and he's lying in the middle of the field eating fish guts he puked out (funny how that's the only scene I remember!)

What's the name of this book, if anyone out there knows?

  • My mom verbally abuses me; what should I do?

I'm almost 17 years old and for the past few years, my mom has been verbally abusing me. She calls me "stupid" pretty much on a daily basis and when she gets really irate, she tells me to "drop dead". She's depressed, so I'm sure she takes out all of her misery on me. She blames me for most of her problems and is always putting me down.

Just today she preached about how I only care about school, college, and my book I'm working on (as if I'm supposed to care about anything else at this age). She wants me to go to a crap college near where we live because she is going to have a hard time finding a place to live after I go to college and expects me to take care of her (even though she's perfectly capable of taking care of herself). Even my 30-year-old sister agrees with me and she knows what our mom does to me.

I'm just scared that this verbal abuse is going to turn physical one day -- every single day it's like she's mad at me and I'm at the point where I'm about to explode. What do you think I should do?

  • Is this just a coincidence?

Do you think it's a coincidence that if you re-arrange the letters of the phrase "mother-in-law", it would spell out "woman Hitler"?

    I find it hilarious. XD

  • I backmasked one of my songs and I discovered a hidden meaning... what does it mean?

I was playing around with Audacity and I decided to record one of my songs (a capella, that is) and I discovered that when I played a part of it in reverse it sounded like, "You're slipping through life when you bless your lawn." (That line played normally is "...another step when you feel worthless inside."

What do you think, "You're slipping through life when you bless your lawn" means?

  • Do I need a degree in education to become a teacher?

I'm a junior in high school and want to major in education but my school of choice doesn't offer that as a major. In order to become a teacher (jr high English teacher) do I have to major in education or can I just major in English?

I know it sounds like a silly question and I should ask my guidance counselor, but I just want other peoples' opinions. Thanks.

  • Can someone help me figure out what's wrong with my computer?

Every day I get computer updates. For this one, it seemed to have removed most of the links from my desktop and are replaced with those little white pieces of papers with the corner folded. When I try to click on them, they don't work. It seems as if the links to open the programs are in "hiding", meaning they're there, but I don't know exactly where they are.

However, I've figured out that if I right-click into properties and highlight the "target" link, I can open up most programs. For some programs (Like the Sims) it doesn't work for some reason (I have Deluxe, Seasons, and got University Collection for Christmas). So I tried to uninstall all the games but the computer says they're uninstalled, but it has left behind pieces of the game that make them still installed.

Sorry that this turned into a two-part question, but, can someone at least help me with the first problem?

  • Can someone interpret this insane dream?

First off, I dreamt of The Biggest Loser, my favorite TV show of all time. (I want to lose weight so that's probably why I dreamt it). Then, this reality show popped up. It looked like it was set in high school and "dramatic" music was playing. In the hallway, there were these bran snacks that were 17 calories. There was this huge refrigerator with an unlimited supply of ice cream, so I took one out.

Then, my mom and I were outside our house. We heard a woman inside calling for help so we ran inside. She was giving birth. She looked about twenty-something years old. The father was a blonde-headed guy who looked like a teenager. The baby was out for some strange reason and I was cleaning him off. Everything around me was hazy except this baby. He was adorable -- he had bright blue eyes, freckles, and light skin. I was cleaning him off in a blanket and he just looked at me with the most adorable expression ever. He was laughing and started crawling. Then the dream ended.

What in the world does this dream mean?

  • What's the name of this 70's song?

My mom wants to know what this song is called and who it's by. It goes something like:

    If you want it

    Here it is

    Come and get it

    But you better hurry

    'Cause it's going fast

The song had something to do with a man on the streets of New York handing out money to people.

  • Can someone help me interpret this recurring dream?

I'm a junior in high school and I have been having a lot of dreams about being late for school over the past few years. In some dreams, I'd miss the bus. In other dreams, I'd look at the clock and it would show a time where school has already started. I never go to school in my dreams when I'm late, but I just know that I am late.

When I actually go to school in the waking life, 99% of the time I'm punctual. And if I ever am late, it's only by ten minutes at the most.

I don't understand it -- I get adequate sleep, I go to school at the same time almost every day, and I even like school! Can someone help me figure this out?

I like mine straight from the oven, blanketed with fresh mozzarella cheese and sprinkled with pepperoni.

    Yum. =)
