I backmasked one of my songs and I discovered a hidden meaning... what does it mean?
I was playing around with Audacity and I decided to record one of my songs (a capella, that is) and I discovered that when I played a part of it in reverse it sounded like, "You're slipping through life when you bless your lawn." (That line played normally is "...another step when you feel worthless inside."
What do you think, "You're slipping through life when you bless your lawn" means?
Okay, I really don't care if it has a meaning... I just want to know what it means to "bless your lawn".

What happened is kind of creepy for me, but i can answer your question.
I think "You're slipping through life when you bless your lawn" means if you bless your lawn and take care of it then your wasting your life.

It doesn't mean anything. You're experiencing "auditory pareidolia": the perfectly normal cognitive effect where the brain reads meaning into unclear sounds. It's the sound equivalent of the Face on Mars and Jesus on tortillas.
Definitely, as Geezer Geek says, try it on some friends *without priming them first*. You'll be surprised at how subjective it is. The whole area of cognitive effects is fascinating: actually far more fascinating than if the words were real.

It means that those words backwards sound like another set of words. There is no hidden meanings in reverse sounding audio, unless they were specifically inserted there by the artist or producer.
Don't look so far into it.

I think if you take your reversed selection and play it to others (WITHOUT GIVING THEM HINTS ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK IT SAYS), I think you'll find that you're the only one who "hears" that.
Your mind has simply assigned order to noise, and created meaning where there is none.
This is not in any way uncommon for the human mind.
