What are your feelings about an agency of the U.S. gov't getting involved in regulating content on the Interne?

Did you even know they are considering this?

Update:

Bobby - I mean Obama's regulatory czar Cass Sunstein has advocated a "Fairness Doctrine".

It's Obama's aim to control all of us, bigger government, that is what it is all about. He doesn't give a darn about health care either, it's just more government control!

  • The US government may regulate content coming from or going to the US. That will have little effect on the content available, since the internet is worldwide.

Attempting to stop US residents from accessing certain sites would be unconstitutional. No, the government is not considering this. Various committees look at issues like this, but no serious attempt to draft legislation has or likely will happen.

Do you mean that bill that John McCain or Edward Markey are trying to get passed? Or something else?

I think that it should not be allowed. The internet needs to remain basically how it is now.
