Damaged Hair PLEASE HELP!!!?
My hair is extremely heat damaged. When it's wet it smells burnt. The thing is I straighten it every day because if I don't I can't really do anything with it to make it look good. I was wondering what I should do. Please help!!!!
Is there anything special I can use to reverse the damage or at least stop it from being more damaged in the future?
Thanks.

How can you reverse the damage?
Get a hair cut.
You can't reverse damage because hair is unable to fix itself, or heal. It's dead, once the hair has split ends it has to be cut.
Go to your salon and ask to get all the damage cut off. Then, ask your stylist what heat protectant they'd recommend for your hair type. A heat protectant will help protect against some of the damage and can help keep your style for longer.
After getting all the damage cut off, you will need to start using hydrating products like a deep conditioner, and shampoo your hair only when needed. Condition every time you shower, and cut down on heat styling. You say you don't want to, but that is the ONLY thing that will keep your hair less damaged. And when you do flat iron, put it on the lowest setting that will work for your hair. If your iron doesn't have a heat setting, then I'd honestly recommend a new one, as ones without heat settings will be much more damaging.
If you have wavy/curly hair, invest in things like curl creams or a diffuser. This way you will not need to use the iron all the time and can give your hair a break. Otherwise, use things like serums to help smooth the hair as opposed to straightening it. Also, get a hair cut that will work best with your hair type and allow you to go au naturale every now and then.

never comb ur hair while wet just finger comb it while u got conditioner on yet.
sleep with a loose pony to prevent breakage. if ur hair breaks alot it means that when it grows from 1 end it breaks from the other so u never notice a difference so u gotta opt 4 anti breakage shampoos and conditioners and masks.
u have to treat ur hair to deep mask every 3 days give olive oil a try for 30 min. hot mask will do u wonders.
not washing ur hair everyday but also not keeping it dirty more that 3 days. so the hair folicles can breathe but also get an anough amount of natural oils that come out of ur scalp to promote healthy hair growing.
castor oil massaged into the roots and tips 30 mins b4 showering works also
when ironing use OSIS heat prrotect from Schwartskopf
or VO5 heat defence go stright! balm.
dont over iron ur hair and cut the fried up tips urself if ur too afraid to get chopped off at the careless salons.
good luck.

ya... STOP straightening it until its better! deep condition every two weeks (you'll have to buy a specific conditioner) i'd condition my hair every day. leave it in for 2 minutes for the regular stuff and 15 for deep conditioning. use light shampoo that will cause less damage. get it cut to get the split ends off. i say cut instead of trimmed because i've never seen a hairdresser "trim" off all the split ends... it has to be cut. DO NOT!!!! blow dry your hair! it has to dry naturally, put in leave in conditioner too. good luck!

well stop straighten ing it or it might get really bad. just brush it till it shines or comb gel thru your hair and it will straighten it out a bit.
