Is there a way to operate Pen Drives using USB port in WIN 98 ?

I have heard that USB port don't work on WIN 98. I want to operate my Pen Drive on WIN 98. Is it possible anyway ?

Update:

Do I have to install drivers of all pen drives if I want to operate them in WIN 98. If yes, then is there a way to install all those drivers ?

You need to have the WIN98SE to have USB functionality.

Only the Special Edition version has USB support. And you have to load the drivers externally.

Frankly, not sure about "all pen drivers". I think so. Get the generic USB driver first and see if that does it.

you may basically have have help for USB a million.0 hardware. The exterior hard disk you're connecting is in all probability a USB 2.0. you ought to purchase 2.0 USB taking part in cards which you would be able to put in an empty PCI slot yet i could evaluate upgrading the laptop first. something older than 3 years, you may have consistant problems with new hardware and application.

You will need to install drivers with Windows 98. I just did a google search and found a few results, try here http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/usbmsd98....

You should do a search yourself trying to search for the drive's specific drivers if it has any and see if you have any luck that way. Just be patient and you should find the appropriate driver.
