Hello, Has anyone ever heard of using Vodka to clean with? If so, is it safe on all surfaces?

I own a House-cleaning business and I'm always on the hunt for new products/methods.

Update:

Cheap Vodka that is! LOL!

That would be pretty expensive. If alcohol is good, use rubbing alcohol. It is NOT safe on all surfaces.

I don't know how much vodka costs where you are, but here it's at least $23 for a 26 oz bottle, which would make it an extremely expensive cleaning product. There are lots of perfectly good cleaners for a lot less money, and no, alcohol isn't safe on some surfaces.

Why waste a perfectly good beverage on cleaning.

Millions have been spent researching & developing cleaning solutions for every job in the house including environmentally safe products.

Sit down, pour yourself a Martini, then hit the cleaning

with a cheap safe effective cleaning product and a nice buzz....

The first time I heard of vodka for cleaning the bathroom sink was yesterday on "Oprah Show". Actress Kirsty Allie's first job was as a housekeeper for an affluent family. She said she was taught to use the cheapest brand of vodka so you won't drink it, and not to use rubbing alcohol as it poisons the water shelf. I personally think vinegar is a better solution
