He might have meant some incriminating evidence she wouldn't find. Maybe he threatened to kill her brother like he did before. Remember Frank Brady AKA Francois Von Leuschner

I would say it is her son; your kid is still your kid no matter what age and she would protect her kid or kids and their family.
