What is the attraction to the Hummer's?

I agree but, there are a lot of people out there who are hung up on status symbols and snob appeal. A neighbor drove a Chevy Suburban for many years and was astounded shortly after Ford decided to compete with the Suburban, when a woman driving one of Ford's poor riding beasts, pulled up beside her, honked and yelled "Mine is bigger".

here's the thing, hummers can from the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee). This Humvee was meant for war and will surely take a soldier from one place to another whatever terrain it may pass. now, there was an idea then this Humvee should be put into production for people coz it is very reliable especially when you are going into a rough terrain or in case of disaster like flood. they knew people would love it. and thats what happened. the only problem is its a gas guzzler. its not environment friendly.

but it doesnt matter if the hummer is ugly. you want something that would run in case of disaster. something that will take you from one point to another.

if you were in my place here in the philippines, i would like to stock a vehicle like that in my parking lot. why? if you have heard the storm ketsana? we were so flooded big time. those nice sedans you were talking about, they sunked. YES, THEY SUNKED. they cant even run in flooded waters.

if you want a car thats nice? fine. no problem, its your choice. but you wouldnt know what will happen in the future. i personally would like to have something that could take me from one point to another everyday that is nice and comfortable to ride and should be fuel efficient. but during times of need, i would want something like the hummer, believe me with what i am saying.

and by the way, hummer is doing their best to improve their product lines, to attract more customers like you who wants beautiful cars and is cheap. if youve seen the hummer h4? thats a nice looking hummer and its not that expensive for people in the states too!

and hope you understand that they dont build this things for nothing. someday you will realize, i should have bought this kind of car.

Some people that have too much money and buy stupid stuff. Why do you think GM sold Hummer to China after the US military dropped the contracts for the H1?

There's an *** for every seat. I think the jelly bean buggy eyed stuff that keeps coming out of Japan is butt ugly, but look how many people buy these things.

They feel good and I think many people would want to spend the money on them.
