Yep, sometimes they are called child psychologist, and can also be called developmental psychologyists...
The therapist/psychologist should allow the client to speak, so yes it can be rude, however, if it is appropriate, then interrupting is ok.
The psychologist should remain empathic...
It would be unprofessional to treat someone you know in clinical sense, but family members play key roles in the clients support network. So if a psychologist had knew someone who had problems, then they could support them, but it would be considered unprofessional to treat them.
