Of course they are. You haven't noticed any black gays? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you're asking this question as if the "gay community" is racially intolerant or so, like it's "normal" for one specific race to be gay, and not blacks. I'm just saying....

EDIT: What I mean is, the "gay community" isn't always white. "Gay communities" exist within black populations as well, so in that case, black gays are not racially discriminated against people of their own kind. I also forgot to mention the "gay community" is a social construct of gay individuals grouped into one. In that case, race doesn't matter because it does not determine sexual orientation. If you're gay, then you're gay... So of course blacks are "welcome."

BTW: If you meant, if the gay community is tolerant of blacks in general, not just black gays, then it depends on the person and the "community." Many people in LGBT communities are liberal and open to race among other things, so finding a racist in a "gay communtiy" is rare. But that doesn't mean it ain't possible. If someone within the "gay community" is racist, his or her sexual orientation is not a factor. Instead, his or her personality and social preferences are the factor.

the one and only ME: Each "community" has its own negative and positive aspects, so many blacks DO tolerate homosexuality, while many others don't. The same thing also applies to the "white community," a phrase hardly ever used, when regarding homophobia. I've met plenty of whites, blacks, hispanics, that were tolerant and intolerant of homosexuality. In fact, a "community" only exists as a social construct, so "communties" are not physical and therefore do not have opinions, only the individuals do.

I bet I appreciate what you imply. However I believe is has extra to do with persona than race. There perhaps be sociological elements that could give a contribution to the attitudes you've gotten located, nevertheless it believe it has extra to do with a character's interior disposition. Egocentricism is not ever beautiful it doesn't matter what the race. Personally, there were a few pleasant black men that I've had the privilege to name peers. They have been good-looking and in addition had a distinguished persona and didn't believe themselves "greater" than any individual else. They have been simply throughout well men.

Racism exists everywhere, but I don't find it that much in our community. So of course blacks are welcome... The only requirement to be part of the LGBT community is to be L, G, B or T!

  • Yes, especially because gays also know what it's like to have to fight for equal rights, but of course there would always be a few racists everywhere.

However I'm not so sure gays are really accepted in the black community so I heard.<=== not from my experience

Of course they are. I mean, I think black girls are bloody gorgeous and would just as easily date one as a girl of any other race. Don't matter to me! :)
