Mallory is a nice name but have you considered Melody instead? Possible middle names: Emily, Antonia

Honestly I think the names are way too similar. Your daughters are going to want to have their own identities and having cutesy names like that won't help.
If you must, I would go with Mallory.

Please, I'm a twin and I know what its like to be constantly confused for your sister, and with names that close it just makes it more difficult for people to tell them a part.
If you want them to be similar, pick similar meanings or similar names but have very different nick names. I've met twins Alexis and Amelia (Lexi and Mia) which works better.
If you like the names well then that your choice however I just want you to think about how it will be when someone slips up just on the name, not to mention they look similar.

I agree with Olivia, the names are very similar and could end up being confusing. I expect they will end up shortening their names to Mel and Mal! A girl I know is called Melecia (pronounced mel-EE-sha), thought you might like the alternative!

I love those names. I think the -ie ending is prettier, but perhaps consider Malorie? Very pretty :)
