10 points to first answer! Would you consider this "cheating"?
I've been "talking" to this guy named Max for just over a month now. He lives in Chicago, I'm near Kansas City, and we're both college students. Because of the distance, we aren't dating, and I'm not even sure if we're really going to pursue anything. However, we openly express our feelings for each other and how excited we are to see each other in December. He tells me all these flattering and romantic things, but I'm bothered that it seems like I always have to text him first anymore.
Lately, I've been getting to know a guy I work with named Devin. I think that he likes me.
Because of my situation with Max, would you consider me maybe giving my number to Devin cheating?
(I don't think I could go out on a date with him if he asked. I'd just like to get to know him more.)

nope, not cheating. It should be said to the partner that you're not in an exclusive relationship (yet), just to avoid confusion. Until it's official though, that's not cheating.

They're playing on the fact that most things we do as humans usually involve some kind of reward. Human beings really are very selfish at heart. You help an old lady across the street, you're rewarded with the satisfaction of doing a good deed. You give money to a charity, you're rewarded with a feeling of superiority above those who don't donate. You answer a question and get 10 points, you feel cleverer than everyone else which rewards you with a boost of your confidence. Everyone's actions benefit themselves in some way or form. However, it's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, both parties are happy. I guess they just like to point out the obvious too.

k first of all you are not dating the other guy in chicago and u have no strings attach to any guys so if u were to go out on a date with Devin . I don't think it will be cheating...now if u really like this other guy in chicago (which i don't think u do because u are intrested in someone else) don't go out on a date..i say u should do what your consience tells you....good luck and if u go on a date with devin get cute jejeje ;)

Well you're not officially going out with Max. He's not your boyfriend. So this seems pretty innocent to me! Especially since you don't even wanna go on a date with this Devin guy. You wanna get to know him better, which is really good. There's nothing wrong with this situation :)

No, your not comitted to either one of the guys. And big deal if you talk to another guy. You could be just friends, just cause you want to get to know him more doesnt mean anything. Go ahead give him your number

if you and your guy have any kind of a commitment, then yes most likely it is deceitful of you to go out with another guy. if you are just talking then be honest with him. Once you get into a cycle of not being honest with somebody, it can lead to nothing but problems through out your life. good luck & take care.

If you'd just like to get to know him more, it's not cheating. Plus, you're not going out with the other guy...
Go for it.

i dont think thats cheating because technically to be cheating youd have to be in a relationship dating wise which you are not. and if max is to lazy to try to talk to you then why are you waiting for him you can do whatever you want but i say you can go for it idk your choice
